Step Towards Hope
With the Miami Initiative to Stop Amputation (MISA): Reducing non-traumatic lower extremity amputations by 20% by 2030
It Starts With Defying Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
Our goal of reducing non-traumatic lower extremity amputations in Miami by 20% over the coming decade starts with defying Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). In advanced stages, amputation might be the only course of action for those suffering from PAD.
The Amavita Foundation aims to fight this disease in early stages, directly contributing to a reduction of amputations in the future.
We provide care to patients by collaborating with healthcare professionals and institutions throughout Miami-Dade County to promote education, awareness, and the use of the latest advancements in the treatment of PAD.
